Business Associate Agreement

Because your website collects inquiries from potential clients, we sign a BAA with you before we start.

Summary of key terms

  1. TherapyRising acts as your Business Associate for any protected health information (PHI) submitted through your website's inquiry forms.
  2. We only use or disclose PHI to provide our services to you, or as required by law.
  3. We use administrative, physical and technical safeguards to protect PHI, including encryption in transit and at rest and restricted access.
  4. Inquiry contents are never sent by email. You're notified of new inquiries and read them in your secure dashboard.
  5. Any subcontractors who handle PHI on our behalf agree to the same restrictions.
  6. We'll notify you of any breach of unsecured PHI as required by HIPAA.
  7. When our agreement ends, we return or destroy PHI where feasible.
